Tohru received a call from her grandfather at school. The house was already completely renovated and she could move right back in. Tohru is again to live with her grandfather and relatives. Tohru related the news back to Shigure, Yuki and Kyo. Though, they don’t want to see her go, they have no choice in the matter. Tohru was also very reluctant to leave but she felt she had taken too much of their hospitability.

Back at her grandfather’s house, her relatives did’t make her feel welcome. There was hints of her cousin implying she doens’t want to share her room with her. Her uncle annoyed of her stupidity not diffentiate which ironed clothes are his and grandfathers. Her auntie disappointed when she didn’t find the big plates immediately to prepare food. At all these times, Tohru remembered the things she did at the Souma house. And she still gets concerned if they already ate.

At the Souma house, Shigure makes it a point to remind Yuki and Kyo how the atmosphere changed since Tohru’s departure. Yuki and Kyo were very annoyed but they couldn’t help but admit how much they missed Tohru. At school, everytime Tohru greets Kyo, Kyo turns around and leaves. When Tohru greets Yuki, Yuki greets her back but they don’t talk much. Tohru decided that it was time for her to concentrate on the present and just do what must be done.

When she came home though, she discovered that her relatives hired a private investigator to know what she had been doing before she came to join them. They found out about Tohru staying in a house full of boys. Tohru’s auntie emphasized that at first she thought of a private investigator is too much but she said she has a son who wants to be a policeman. Tohru’s auntie wants to make sure no scandalous secrets are in the family to destroy the familiy image.

Tohru’s auntie knew of Tohru’s mother being a member of gang in her teen years and thought that Tohru may be like her. Like mother, like daughter. Tohru’s uncle asked if Tohru did anything ‘fun’ with the boys.

Tohru’s grandfather slapped Tohru’s uncle much to everyone’s surprise. He apologized to Tohru. Tohru’s relatives were his relatives and it is with them he should stay because he loves them even if they were rotten to the core. Tohru’s relatives were very annoyed with how he described them.

Outside the room, Grandpa told Tohru to be where she was Tohru’s grandfather said that if Tohru wants to go somewhere else, he wouldn’t stop her. Not that he was throwing her out. Rather, he said that if Tohru was anything like her mother, she would rather be where she could spread her wings and be free, just as what Tohru’s father said when he was still alive. Tohru recounter her stay with the Souma’s. She cried while saying that she misses everything that happened in the Souma house. She wants to hear the laughter, the arguments, the conversations… everything. She was very thankful to be a part of the Souma family and everything they have done for her. Unknown to her, Yuki and Kyo heard her and invited her to come back home.

While Kyo was dragging Tohru out of the house, Tohru’s uncle asked Yuki if they were the boys she was with the whole time she wasn’t still with them. Yuki got serious and told Tohru’s uncle not to be too close to Tohru, such as calling her Tohru-chan. Yuki got Tohru’s belongings.

Back outside, Tohru found out from Kyo that he went together with Yuki to find her relatives address. Kyo admitted that he was upset when she left. Kyo shouted at Tohru that if she didn’t want to leave she should have said so in the first place. Tohru blushed after hearing that. Kyo told her he doens’t mind if she shows her weak side to him. Tohru cried, much to Kyo’s dismay. Tohru admitted she wanted to go home, to be where everybody was. So Yuki, Kyo and Tohru all went back home to the Souma house, with Shigure waiting by the front door.
