Allow me to introduce myself…My name is Akito Souma, though I doubt you’ll remember me. I’m the head of the Souma family and I live at the Souma Main Estate with a few other of my Jyuunishi. Due to the curse I get sick often and I’m expected to pass away at the age of 25 (I don’t transform to any animal). My western sun sign is Cancer and I’m nearing 20 yrs. old.

However, I feel the curse brings me and my Jyuunishi together, therefore I really don’t want it lifted. Then again, I really don’t want to die so soon. I was born to be loved, though some of my Jyuunishi don’t understand that.

That’s why I give little lessons to those who even try to defy me. I do think they’re deserving of a little punishment now and then, especially the way they act when I’m overly lenient with them. But, since I’m such a caring person by nature, I let most of their faults slide, because punishing them, hurts me a hell of a lot more than it hurts them…

How Others Think of Me

The clan head and the least-liked among the members of the Juunishi, almost everyone is afraid of her. Her decision is considered final among the Juunishi. Since she bears the full weight of the curse, she doesn’t have a long time to live. That’s why no one would dare go against her wishes. She is the one who orders somebody’s memory erased when they learn the Juunishi curse.
